Do you have a Kimsufi, Hetzner, OVH or Online.net server that you want to install Windows Server on?
There is a easy way to do just that. First you have to start your server in Rescue Mode, then use the login info in your favorite terminal.
Then just write this command:
Windows Server 2012 R2 – English – no updates
wget -O- http://images2.myhken.com/KS2012R2v003.gz | gunzip | dd of=/dev/sda
Windows Server 2016 – English – no update
wget -O- http://images2.myhken.com/KS2016v004.gz | gunzip | dd of=/dev/sda
10.03(March).2017 My updated Windows Server 2016 template works on Kimsufi also.
It take some time to download the file, and write the changes to your server. When it hits around 90% it will go very slowly, that’s because the files in unpacked. But when it’s ready, just reboot the server, wait for 5-8 minutes, then use Remote Desktop to access you server using the IP and the following login info:
NB!!! Remember to change your login password after you have login. This is a public password, so people can easy get access to your server.
Also, remember to extend your OS partition in Disk Manager, either use the whole disk, or use at least 100GB for your OS partition.
NB! Using thees templates on servers with 3TB or larger OS disk, will give you an issue. Since the templates can’t use GPT, it will not utilize more then 2TB max on the OS disk. If your server has more then one disk, all other disks can be GPT using 3TB+.
Thats it. If there are some issues, please contact me on lowendtalk.com (username myhken)
